Breast Augmentation

A Breast Augmentation operation is a simple and very safe cosmetic procedure. It aims to change the shape of the breast by giving it a larger and more rounded shape, using certain medical fillings made of silicone or saline liquid.

WHAT IS BREAST AUGMENTATION?

Breast Augmentation Surgery involves enlargement of the breasts through inserting implants into the breast area, usually in front or behind the pectoral muscle.

This procedure often appeals to women who have always had smaller breasts, or who once had larger breasts but have lost volume and shape due to fluctuations in weight, pregnancy breastfeeding or other factors. • Breast Augmentation can often reshape the breasts, or be used in part to correct breasts of unequal size. • This procedure cannot correct severely drooping breasts, which may require a Breast Lift, as well as an Augmentation to appear fuller and lifted.

AM I A SUITABLE CANDIDATE?

This procedure typically appeals to women with smaller breasts who would like to increase the size and/or shape of their breasts.

She must be over the age of 18, and the growth of her breasts should be completed.
She must have good health and be free of any disease that hinders the success of the surgery.
Women who suffer from the change in the size of their breasts due to weight loss or repeated pregnancies, childbirth, and breastfeeding.
Women who have lost their breasts as a result of cancer or an accident.
Women who suffer from disparity in the size of their breasts and asymmetry in them and the loss of fullness.
Women who are dissatisfied with their general appearance due to their breasts’ size

SURGICAL PROCESS

Breast Augmentation operation is summarized in specific stages, as follows:

First Stage: Conducting Clinical Examinations

The doctor examines the breast and determines the desired size, which commensurates with the shape of the body and is required to be done through Breast augmentation surgery.

Second Stage: Conducting the Necessary Tests

Conducting the necessary blood tests to identify blood sugar levels, and to make sure that the patient is free of diseases that would hinder Breast Augmentation surgery, such as diabetes, hypertension, or immunodeficiency.

Third Stage: Preparing the Patient

The medical staff prepares the patient. The anesthesiologist then anesthetizes the patient with general anesthesia to avoid her feeling any pain at all.

Fourth Stage: Breast Augmentation

The doctor makes a very small surgical incision, which helps him insert the fillings into the breast, giving it the desired size.

RECOVERY

You’ll be given clear instructions for post-operative healing & care, including what garments to wear and what else to do to maximise your surgical results, minimise scarring and facilitate your recovery processes • You’ll have ready access to the Patient Care Team and/or to your Surgeon following your Surgical Procedure should you have any urgent questions or needs. • Although you will be able to see the results of your Breast Implant Surgery almost immediately, it can take up to 4-6 weeks for post-surgical swelling to resolve properly
